Small to Scale: How a Thai beauty clinic improved its lead conversion with Meta Business Agent

By Dhruv Vohra·Jun 4, 2026·3 min read

LABX Clinic, a top beauty and aesthetics chain in Thailand and a publicly traded company, relies on Facebook Messenger for 90% of its leads. The high volume of daily inquiries about pricing, branch locations, and availability overwhelmed their admin team, leading to delayed after-hours responses and lost conversions. To address this, LABX implemented Meta Business Agent to handle first-contact interactions.

The AI system answers frequently asked questions about treatments, collects basic customer details such as branch preference, phone number, and preferred appointment time, and shares promotional offers. When a customer shows intent to book, the conversation is seamlessly transferred to a human admin who manages scheduling, coordinates across branches, and handles deposit collection. This setup allows admins to concentrate on closing sales rather than qualifying leads.

During an A/B test in April 2026, the active use of Meta Business Agent resulted in a 10.3% increase in leads captured and a 9.4% reduction in cost per lead, from THB 1,724 to THB 1,562. The speed and consistency of AI responses were key factors, as the bot provided instant replies and consistently collected phone numbers. LABX's team found the AI natural enough for frontline chat and particularly effective at gathering structured details before handoff.

The operational relief was significant, as admins could focus on high-value tasks. This case demonstrates that Meta Business Agent can enhance lead efficiency in high-volume messaging businesses like beauty clinics. LABX now plans to expand the use of Meta Business Agent across its operations.

The key takeaway for service businesses where messaging serves as the sales floor is that response time is the bottleneck. AI keeps the conversation open long enough for a human to step in and close the deal.

The Signal Economy Goes Live: Takeaways from MAU Vegas 2026

AI is in production, with Square's team shipping six live workflows. Web-to-app is the most efficient top-of-funnel for app businesses, and retention overtakes acquisition. Apps and Trends to Watch: AppRefinery’s consumer app trends shaping 2026

The article highlights three key consumer app trends for 2026: social features becoming retention drivers (e.g., Spotify messaging, Tinder Double Date), advanced retention mechanics from gaming (e.g., streaks, collections), and AI as an embedded utility (e.g., Gauth's Study Converter). For ad ops, these trends offer new hooks for acquisition and retention campaigns, such as aligning with social competition or event-based LiveOps. Marketers should shift from generic messaging to use-case clarity for AI features.

Is your channel mix resilient in an AI-disrupted world?

AI is reshaping consumer behavior, with 80% of Google searches ending without a click and half of consumers using AI for product research. This disrupts traditional channels like search (CPC up 10-25%) and affiliate marketing (revenues down 7%). Meanwhile, mobile apps and CTV offer stable, high-engagement alternatives. Advertisers should diversify away from disrupted channels, targeting the independent app ecosystem where Day 30 ROAS can be 116% higher. Key metrics: organic direct traffic share (target >51%) and disrupted channel spend share (target <34%).
