Facebook is expanding its measurement partnerships to provide businesses with more tools to measure ad performance. They now have over 40 partners across specialties like marketing mix modeling, viewability, mobile app measurement, reach, attribution, brand lift, and sales lift. New partners include Meetrics, DoubleVerify, and Branch.
Additionally, Facebook is updating view tags, which were originally designed for desktop and are less effective on mobile. Starting July 1, new campaigns will use updated view tags that only count impressions for verification, not for other measurement. Existing campaigns will update by October 1.
Facebook recommends using approved measurement partners for more holistic insights.
Cross-platform measurement resolves the common problem of fragmented, device-level reporting that inflates ROAS and misallocates budgets. By unifying customer identity across web, mobile, CTV, and other surfaces, marketers gain a single view of LTV and attribution. AppsFlyer provides this via CUID stitching and Product Line grouping, enabling real-time, deduplicated insights without manual BI work. Key benefits include accurate cross-platform ROAS, elimination of duplicate attribution, and reliable data for AI-driven optimization.
Marketing attribution is critical for connecting spend to revenue, but platform self-reporting and last-click bias distort budget decisions. Single-touch models (first/last-click) are simple but miss the full journey; multi-touch models (position-based, data-driven) are more accurate but require robust data. Mobile attribution is particularly challenging due to ATT, SKAdNetwork, and cross-platform gaps, necessitating a mobile measurement partner (MMP) for independent, deduplicated measurement. Clean attribution data is essential for AI-driven optimization—bad signals lead to bad decisions. Starting with position-based attribution and incrementality testing provides a practical foundation.
Mobile app measurement has solved the single-channel problems that plague other digital channels—independent attribution (neutral third-party verification), privacy regulation (survived iOS 14.5 with new methods), signal governance (provenance, chain of custody), fraud detection (15% fraudulent installs, 275% fake installs in some channels), and cross-platform fragmentation. These capabilities, built under duress, now form the foundation for omnichannel measurement. Ad ops must apply mobile-grade rigor per channel first, then connect via CUID, unified attribution logic, and real-time data governance to build a trusted cross-platform framework.
Meta announces end-to-end creative AI tools enabling brand-aware ad generation, testing, and optimization for all marketers. Key updates include a unified Creator Marketing Hub combining Instagram and Facebook creator discovery, plus AI agents connecting customer conversations to conversions. A study of 1M+ campaigns shows $4.13 average revenue per dollar spent (up 25% since 2022). New features: brand memory for consistent creative, enhanced text generation, language translations (11 languages), and integrated creative approval workflows.
One person built, shipped, and marketed a mobile game in 14 days using AI tools, achieving 5,563 installs at $0.39 eCPI on $2,200 spend. MCPs (Model Context Protocol) were critical for agentic workflows. The AI agent CLAW managed ad campaigns via AppsFlyer MCP and BigQuery. Data Locker streamed raw data for analysis. Key takeaway: vendors must offer MCPs for fast, agentic data access; measurement stack (Data Locker, ROI 360, Creative Optimization) is essential for solo teams; human+AI beats AI alone.
TikTok's Streaming Ads, powered by Smart+, are a catalog-fueled performance solution for streaming services to drive subscriber acquisition. Key formats include Multi-Show Experience, Media Card, and Singular Media Card. Early tests show 80% of campaigns outperformed non-Streaming Ads. The New Title Launch solution helps turn tentpole moments into efficient conversions. A limited-time offer provides ad credits up to $1500 plus expert support for new advertisers.
Planning search and Facebook campaigns together can enhance ad spend efficiency. Facebook ads influence search behavior, increasing organic and paid search visits by 19% and 10% respectively. Half of these incremental visits lead to actions like purchases. Last-click attribution undervalues earlier touchpoints, so cross-channel planning optimizes performance.
Ad ops decision-makers face four structural problems in marketing stacks: platform fragmentation, channel silos, funnel blind spots, and the measurement-activation disconnect. These issues lead to inflated acquisition costs and conflicting performance data. The solution is a measurement-led foundation with independent, fraud-filtered, consent-aware signals that unify cross-channel truth. AppsFlyer provides this signal layer, enabling secure data collaboration and AI optimization on reliable data—without replacing existing activation tools. Key takeaway: fix signal quality first before accelerating AI-driven automation.
